An open-top internal sling, cut from the same fabric as the shell. Stitched at four anchor points with continuous flatlock seams down the left, right and bottom. Nothing crosses the top.

We tested attached tops. They bind, they ride, they pull at the hip. The open top lets the sling move with the body and the body move with the day. It is a build decision, not a finish.
